The Pang brothers, Oxide (彭順) and Danny (彭發) are currently filming the long awaited sequel to Stormriders <風雲> in Thailand. Original leading males Aaron Kwok (郭富城) and Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) are reprising their roles as Cloud (步驚雲) and Wind (聶風) respectively and showed off their fresh new look at the film’s blessing ceremony yesterday at a film studio in Bangkok. The two leading stars gave a demonstration of their fighting scenes for the press who were present at the ceremony and at first everything was going very smoothly as they showed off their graceful moves. However, there was a slight mishap, when Ekin accidentally hit Aaron on the head with his sword. The shock and the pain left Aaron clutching his head and Ekin was immediately very apologetic. Fortunately, there was a doctor on hand and after a quick check, Aaron was given the all-clear and showed just a small bump on his head. He was very supportive of Ekin, saying that they had not had very much practice with the weapons because a lot of the action shots are created with computer graphics.
Aaron revealed that they were both left rather battered and bruised in a hand-to-hand combat scene earlier, but he laughed that he was expecting some injuries in taking on an action film. He said that he does not mind suffering minor injuries if the audience appreciates their sincerity in the production. It has been ten years since Aaron and Ekin’s first collaboration, but they still seemed to have the chemistry with each other and Aaron smiled that they feel just as young as they were before. As for who will be singing the film’s theme song, he said that it is in the hands of the managers to arrange, but he does not mind who lands the job in the end. Aaron’s character will be paired with mainland actress Tang Yan (唐嫣) in the film.
Ekin was also prepared for injury during filming and told of how he was unable to move after shooting a rainy fighting scene. It was thanks to some qigong healing from the martial arts director that helped to ease the condition. He added that fortunately they were allowed enough time to rest in between shoots. He expressed that it was a great affinity that has brought him back to the character of Wind again after a decade. Asked if girlfriend Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) has been to visit him on set, Ekin said she had not, but he was enjoying the comfortable life in Thailand. Film company boss Daniel Lam (林小明) revealed that the mainland distribution licence for the film has finally been approved after three and a half months and the release date has been tentatively set as Christmas 2009. As for the film reported to have gone over budget, he responded by saying that they have used Hollywood production standards, so it was worth it. A decision will be made later in the year about whether or not they will film a third installment. When Daniel was asked how he felt about the film’s production was upstaged by the appearance of Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) on set last week, visiting her husband Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒). He said that it could not be helped, so he would accept it as another form of publicity for the film.

Can’t sleep? Join the crowd. millions of people across Asia have trouble getting enough restorative shuteye. With recent research linking lack of sleep to health problems from hypertension to weight gain, there’s more reason than ever to make over your sleep habits. But how?
You may have tried medication. You know you have to stay away from saboteurs like caffeine, nicotine and alcohol. And you’ve probably heard it’s not wise to exercise too vigorously or eat too big a meal a couple of hours before bedtime. Perhaps you’ve even tried to stick to a regular sleep-wake schedule. Here, some snooze tips you may not have heard before.
LET GO OF YOUR WORRIES
Anxieties often seem magnified in the still of the night. Dealing with them can help you sleep . Just writing down worries, deadlines or to-dos before hitting the pillow can make then feel more manageable. Do whatever helps you relax. Ask your partner to give you a massage. or have sensual, not-too-athletic sex. Try simple yoga exercises, like the forward bend: Standing with your legs hip-width apart, bend at your waist, letting your arms and head dangle while releasing the tension in your neck and shoulders. Or while lying on your back, do progressive muscle relaxation, tensing and then releasing body parts, beginning with your feet and progressing toward your forehead. Find yourself constantly yawning? Some experts say it may be linked to not getting enough oxygen to the brain. Deep-breathing exercises in which you focus on taking long, deep abdominal breaths may help relieve pent-up tension (and the yawns).
REDO YOUR BEDROOM
Make your bedroom more sleep-friendly. If noise from an adjacent room keeps you up move your bed to another wall. Replace a sassing mattress and deflated pillows. If you must keep a computer in the bedroom, cover the green light on the monitor with black electrical tape. If you insist on falling asleep with the television on, use a timer. Eliminate clutter, another possible anxiety inducer. And adjust the thermostat: The best sleeping temperature for most people is comfortably cool but not cold.
CUT THE LIGHT AT NIGHT
Avoid bright light, which signals the brain to be alert within two to three hours of bedtime or if you wake up during the night. Aiming for no more than 45 to 60 watts of light in the room when winding down before bedtime and no more than 30 to 40 watts of indirect light when you’re trying to sleep . Use low-wattageor shielded nigh-lights in hallways and bathrooms. Make sure your bed is out of the way of direct sunlight, moonlight or streetlights. Consider blackout shades or san eyeshade to keep out early morning light or use clips to hold curtains closed. Hell cement the sleep-wake cycle by exposing yourself to bright light within an hour of waking up for the day either by taking a 30-minute walk outside or by lingering in a part of the house that gets a lot of sunlight.
FOLLOW THE 20 MINUTE RULE
If you can’t fall asleep in about 20 minutes, whether at bedtime or after awakening in the night go into another room and do something else until you get drowsy. Estimate the 20 minutes; don’t use a clock or watch which causes alertness and stress. Avoid things requiring concentration such as video games, stimulating activities like vigorous upsetting like watch the news or paying bills. Try light reading or listening to music.

- What task follows buying the newspaper?

Apple’s filed a patent on their upcoming iPhone instant messaging app, detailing exactly what it’s going to look like and how it’s going to behave. While most of the images show an iChat-esque (and current SMS-like) interface, there are some interesting tidbits we picked up from the text. One, there’s mention of “graphics, photos, audio files, video files and/or other attachments as are supported in a MMS and/or Enhanced Message Service,” which points to possible MMS support in the future. At the very least, it might mean that their IM app will be able to transfer files. Two, there’s also a reference to the user receiving “an instant message while the user of the device is in another application,” alleviating fears that we wouldn’t be able to IM in the background. Both these snippets are after the jump.

The new technology, available from today if you live in Japan, links to local police stations and provides crime ratings by location, and if area is particularly dangerous it issues an alert. No indication of when or if this’ll come to the US.

Tag :No TagsThe life of 20-year-old Emine, and her 24-year-old husband Ramazan Çalçoban was pretty much the normal life of any couple in a separation process. After deciding to split up, the two kept having bitter arguments over the cellphone, sending text messages to each other until one day Ramazan wrote “you change the topic every time you run out of arguments.” That day, the lack of a single dot over a letter—product of a faulty localization of the cellphone’s typing system—caused a chain of events that ended in a violent blood bath (Warning: offensive language ahead.)
